The founding conference of International Association of Health Policy in Europe

IAHP-Europe was founded in Frankfurt am Main in Germany in 1982. The subjects of this conference dealt with the economic crisis and its effects in respect to health care. It was organised by the Institute of Medical Sociology of the Goethe-University. The participants came from the academic and trade union milieu. They were from The Netherlands, Spain, Palestine, Austria, Sweden, UK, Italy, GDR and FRG. For the first time, scientists from socialist European countries took part. [Hans-Ulrich Deppe, 2023]
